Broadly, Potentia is concerned with early childhood care and education's pedagogy, policy and research.

Potentia seeks submissions that:

~interrogate and reinvigorate the language of policy, theory and practice through critical and creative writing, and multimodal representations.

~ alternative narratives that challenge dominant discourse, creating a new pedagogical space for invention, hope and possibility.

~ decolonizing knowledge, theories and practices by asking what counts as knowledge, learning, meaning making, in the human and more-than human worlds.

~ portray practice orientated narratives that are situated, and make visible the complexity of the everyday lives of children within their multiple contexts.

~ stories that grapple with the ethical, political and ecological uncertainty in which early childhood education is already embedded.
