Learning to Relate: Stories from a Father and Son

This paper, composed bp my father and l, serves the dual purpose of locating myself inmy research and witnessing my father's story. Touching on issues of identity, Indi-geneity, relationships, nature, and spirit, our stories illustrate processes of physicaland cultural disconnection and embody one possible means of reconnecting. It ishoped that this article may be useful to those interested in understanding and overcoming the intergenerational impacts of colonization, fostering more relational identities, and contributing to our individual and collective well being.
