A Multitude of Identities

The premise of this article is that if we wish to understand traditional experiences ineducation, it is important to appreciate and comprehend current realities affectingthis education. The author argues that this can he achieved by examining oneself andone's origins relative to the establishment of early childhood programs for FirstNations children. Written as personal story, the article highlights the importance ofidentity, family, and the values and beliefs of the collective.
