Written by two authors who have been actively involved in many aspects of thedevelopment and unfolding of the Aboriginal Head Start On-Reserve (AHSOR)Program, this article documents and details how the program unfolded in BritishColumbia. The authors also examine the politics, tensions, and ultimate negotiationsthat took place when communities interfaced with existing policies in theimplementation of AHSOR in the province.
