About the Journal

Cultural Logic, which has been on-line since 1997, is an open access, non-profit, peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary journal that publishes essays, interviews, poetry, reviews (books, films, other media), etc. by writers working within the Marxist tradition. The editors will also print responses to work published in earlier issues. From its inception in 1997 until 2017, Cultural Logic was hosted by The English Server. In 2018, the journal moved to the Open Journal Systems platform developed by the Public Knowledge Project and is hosted by the University of British Columbia Library. The Editors thank the UBC Library for providing access to server space, the OJS software as well as technical support.

Cultural Logic is a no-fee open access journal, free to read and there are no article processing charges. The journal is produced and operated by donated labour.
