This forum mines the intersection of the fields of Black bibliography and Black Canadian literary studies. Contributors to the forum hail from a range of fields, including literary studies, women’s studies, history and creative writing. This multidisciplinary group of writers speak to each other across disciplinary, geographic, and generational boundaries. In academic conversations and scholarly essays, they discuss the importance of bibliography as a method which grounds the study of Black diasporic literature in Canada, the state of Black publishing in Canada, and the role of Black collections and archives in Canada.
