Author Biography

Jolene Dezbah Manus

Jolene Dezbah Manus is an assistant professor at the Native American Curator for the College of University Libraries and Learning Sciences at the University of New Mexico. Manus is centred in the Center for Southwest Research and Special Collections where she works with tribes to articulate culturally appropriate guidelines for cultural items in archival collections. She also wrote the Scope of Collections for university libraries that emphasizes collecting materials and scholarship from Indigenous academics, educators, creators, and knowledge holders with respect to Indigenous information research and protocol. Jolene is a citizen of the Navajo Nation.
