Author Biography

Lorraine York

Lorraine York is distinguished university professor and Senator William McMaster Chair in Canadian Literature and Culture at McMaster University. She has published books on women's collaborative writing, Timothy Findley, photography in Canadian fiction, and has edited or co-edited books on Margaret Atwood,  Early Canadian literary culture, and Canadian celebrity culture. Her book, Literary Celebrity in Canada (2007) was a finalist for the Canadian Federation for the Humanities' Raymond Klibansky Prize and Margaret Atwood and the Labour of Literary Celebrity (2013) was shortlisted for the Gabrielle Roy prize. Reluctant Celebrity appeared in 2018 with Palgrave Macmillan UK.
