While not the primary focus of her work, Alice Munro has written several stories which assert the legacy presence of British Columbia in her imaginary, both Vancouver and Victoria. This note examines two stories which draw directly on Munro's experience running a bookstore in Victoria from 1963-73, "Differently" (1989) and "The Albania Virgin" (1994).
