Abstract

I reviewed this work as it is a collection of stories, many with Jewish themes, by a Canadian author. As my field is modern Jewish literature, it is exactly in my field of expertise. I am always interested in reading what is newly published in this genre and see what emerging writers are producing.

Shana Rosenblatt Mauer, Herzog College, Israel Schechter Institute, Jerusalem

Dr. Shana Rosenblatt Mauer is a lecturer at Herzog College and the Schechter Institute (Israel). Her research and writing focus on topics in Modern Jewish Literature. Currently, she is writing on transgressive Holocaust narrative in the writing of Mordecai Richler, Howard Jacobson and Tova Reich.
