Maleea Acker is the author of two books of poems, The Reflecting Pool and Air-Proof Green (Pedlar Press, 2009 & 2013), and one book of essays, Gardens Aflame: Garry Oak Meadows of BC’s South Coast (New Star Books, 2012). Maleea holds an MFA in Writing and an MA in Literature and has received fellowships to arts residencies in Canada, the US, Spain and Mexico. She teaches at the University of Victoria and is currently a PhD candidate in Human Geography.
