My debut poetry collection How Festive the Ambulance will be published in spring 2016 with Nightwood Editions, and does not include the poems in this submission. My poetry has appeared or is forthcoming in CV2, Grain, Room, the New Quarterly, PRISM International, Carousel, Poetry is Dead, and the Rusty Toque, among others. My first novel, For Today I Am a Boy (HarperCollins, 2014) received numerous awards and honours. I am the winner of the 2015 Canadian Authors Association Emerging Writer Award, a 2015 Berton House writer-in-residence in Dawson City, YT, and a 2016 UCross Foundation PEN/Hemingway fellow.
