Abstract

Jean Barman was co-editor of this journal from 1995–2002. A conference session to recognize her tremendous influence as a scholar and mentor took place on 4 May 2025 as part of “Place and Power: BC Studies Conference” held at UBC-Vancouver. Transcripts from that session have been edited, adapted, and combined with some written submissions below.
