One resident, thirty-five cameras: Sharing the stories of Inuvik youth
Abstract
Dr. Janet Ip, a Vancouver-based family physician, engaged Inuvik youth through photography during a residency elective in 2004. Employing the photo novella technique, Ip discovered that many of the youths' health concerns paralleled those of urban adolescents. Ip encourages the use of photographic techniques by healthcare providers as a means of engaging marginalized populations.Downloads
