Author Biography
James Naremore is Chancellors’ Professor Emeritus at Indiana University and author of several books on film, among them The Magic World of Orson Welles, Acting in the Cinema, The Films of Vincente Minnelli, More Than Night: Film Noir in its Contexts, On Kubrick, and the BFI film classics volumes on Sweet Smell of Success and Letter from an Unknown Woman. He has been awarded fellowships by the Guggenheim Foundation, the National Gallery of Art, and The Motion Picture Academy.
