Expanding the role of Pharmacy Technicians

Abstract


Pharmacy practice is evolving in complexity and pharmacy technicians are evolving with it. This article explains the education requirements and scope of practice for a Registered Pharmacy Technician. Pharmacist and pharmacy technician collaboration is discussed, as well as the potential impact this collaboration may have on the pharmacy industry.
