Abstract

The machine learning is now poised to develop clinical acumen with the increasing abundance of clinical data. Combined with relatively low barrier to digitalize analogue data, the looming possibility of “machine doctor” may offer personal medicine at the cost of physicians’ careers. While the unique nature of human experiences and possibility of societal advocacy sets apart human doctors, it may be time to consider which parts of medical practice remains truly human.
