Focus and Scope
Critical Education is an international peer-reviewed journal, which seeks manuscripts that critically examine contemporary education contexts and practices. Critical Education is interested in theoretical and empirical research as well as articles that advance educational practices that challenge the existing state of affairs in society, schools, and informal education.

Special Report
Critical Education will occasionally publish special field reports. Field reports provide readers with informed critical analysis of current or ongoing events relevant to the journal's focus.
Peer Review Process
All manuscripts are subject to blind peer-review by a minimum of two external readers, in addition to review by the editors.
Publication Frequency
Critical Education publishes one volume per calendar year. Individual articles are published as soon as they are ready and consistute an issue within the current volume year.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Archiving
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
